Founder’s Background & Experience
Boardroom Rising Corporation was founded by Mao C. Keo, MBA, a global business development and executive strategy leader with more than two decades of experience guiding complex enterprises through rapid growth, corporate transformation, and strategic positioning.
Before establishing Boardroom Rising's business consulting practice, Mao held senior executive roles at industry leaders including SAP, Adobe, and Oracle, where she directed global ecosystem and growth strategies in close collaboration with C-suite and board-level executives. Her career has spanned international markets, complex technology landscapes, and enterprise operating environments where cross-functional alignment and strategic clarity were critical to business performance.
Parallel to her corporate track, Mao arrived in the United States as a Lao refugee and grew up in Southern California. Entering spaces without legacy access taught her early how decisions are made, whose voices shape outcomes, and how strategic perspective can transform trajectories—insights she refined across global tech boardrooms and now brings directly to Boardroom Rising’s business consulting clients.
Through Boardroom Rising, Mao provides executive advisory and business consulting services that help leaders integrate strategic narrative into enterprise management, organizational design, and corporate decision-making.
Mao is also currently writing a memoir documenting her journey from refugee roots to global tech executive leadership, advocating for a modern boardroom where diverse enterprise leaders build resilient, mission-aligned organizations.
